Aims: Psychotherapy is effective for many children and adolescents with conduct disorder, but not all benefit from these treatments. This highlights the need for deeper analyses to understand which interventions work best for specific children and by what mechanisms. Digital tools, such as computers, offer promising ways to enhance existing treatments. One such intervention, the Computer-assisted Social Skills Training for Children with Aggressive Behavior (ScouT), is designed for children with frequent peer conflict. An alternative approach is a resource-oriented therapy, which focuses on solution-oriented strategies. Supportive Treatment for Activation of Resources in Children (STARK) is based on this principle and was compared with ScouT in a randomized controlled trial.
