Abstract Aims
Autism spectrum disorders (ASD) are characterized by persistent deficits in social communication and interaction across multiple contexts and restricted, repetitive patterns of behavior, interests or activities. There is a growing awareness of the increased risk of eating difficulties in children with ASD, and a need for systematic knowledge on eating disorders not associated with body dysmorphia.

The present study is a systematic review on pica, avoidant restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID) and rumination disorders in children with ASD, with the aim to synthesize the body of knowledge on prevalence, clinical pathways, diagnostic assessment, clinical management and intervention.

Methods
A systematic review was conducted and reported in accordance with the PRISMA 2020 statement. We searched MEDLINE, Embase, Cochrane, CINAHL and PsycINFO from publication date 1990 – present. The search included peer reviewed studies written in English with three or more participants, age under 18 years. The ASD diagnoses were set according to DSM-IV or DSM-5 or ICD-9/ICD-10.

Results
We will present the findings from the systematic review of Pica, ARFID and rumination disorder in children with ASD, including the available data on rate, clinical presentation, physical parameters, psychosocial factors in addition to diagnostic pathways and intervention offered.

Conclusions
Children with ASD have an enhanced risk of co-occurring pica, ARFID and rumination disorder, but there is a lack of clinical research on detection, clinical management and intervention.
