Abstract Statement of the problem
Data from official statistics and an analysis of our own data on the main causes of suicidal behavior are presented using the example of the domestic psychiatry services for the period 2023. An algorithm for preventive measures is proposed
Methodology & theoretical orientation: Study of suicide risk factors and development of prevention methods for suicidal behavior in children and adolescents. Conduct a review of modern literature on the problems of suicidal behavior in minors. Analyze and structure the main causes of suicide attempts, identify the characteristics of suicidal behavior in minors in the domestic psychiatry services in 2023, and propose an algorithm for preventive measures.
The continuous sampling method was used to examine minors who applied to medical organizations of the domestic psychiatry services in connection with a suicide attempt during 2023. Clinical interviews, anamnestic information, and an analysis of medical documentation were used.
Findings / Results: In the domestic psychiatry services in 2023, the ratio of suicidal attempts among males and females is 1 to 4 (25% and 75%, respectively), In the structure of suicidal poisoning attempts 59.0% were self–cutting - 22.0% poisoning and self-cutting 13.0% falling from a height 5.0% self-cutting and self-hanging 1.0%. The main factors (causes) of suicidal behavior are intrapersonal problems (36.9%), unstable child-parent relationships (31.7%), problems in interpersonal relationships (11.2%).
Conclusion: it is necessary to develop and implement an updated regulatory document on routing the provision of medical and psychological assistance to minors who have committed a suicide attempt within the framework of interdepartmental interaction.
